Christoph Lange elected to the UNION Executive Board
Professor Christoph Lange, Medical Director of the Research Center Borstel, Leibniz Lung Center, and scientist at the German Center for Infection Research (DZIF) has now been elected by the members of the UNION to the "Board of Directors". The International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (abbreviated "The UNION”) is a worldwide organization, founded in 1920, dedicated to the promotion of lung health and the control of tuberculosis and other lung diseases. The mandate of Prof. Christoph Lange will begin in April 2023.
The Directors of the UNION are responsible for the management and supervision of the organization. They define goals and oversee the UNION's programs and activities, develop and implement strategic plans, maintain partnerships with other organizations and stakeholders, and represent the UNION at the national and international levels. The UNION's directors are responsible for the organization's finances and ensure that resources are used effectively and efficiently.
