CARA stands for “Conscience of
Antimicrobial Resistance Accountability”. It is an alliance supporting the “UN resolution on antimicrobial resistance”. The DZIF is one of nine founding organizations.
Detailed description
Increasing
antimicrobial resistance and an urgent need for new active substances are important research foci of DZIF. This was again emphasized by being a founding member of the CARA alliance in 2016. One of the goals of CARA is to ensure that the United Nations, the national governments and the private sector meet their commitments on a sustainable availability of antimicrobial substances.
