Collaborating in a project in the DZIF research area Community-Acquired Infections at Mucosal Interfaces, the University of Münster is working on new pathogen-specific inhibitors, for instance, against Salmonella. Researchers at the University are also involved in the development of new antibiotics against multidrug-resistant tuberculosis bacteria. The aim of this project is to develop a drug candidate that proves its efficacy against tuberculosis in preclinical studies.
